Horizontal Boring Machine- Manual Operator

 Sets up and operates horizontal boring.

 Studies machining instructions such as job card, process sheet, marking and drawing on work piece.

 Determine machining required, sequence of operation, tooling, feed, and speed rate, applying knowledge of materials and machining.

 Loading and setting of job according to machine capacity with using of table or angle plate, using clamps, shims, and parallel blocks and verifies position with such instruments as dial indicators, gauge blocks, and height gauges.

 Analyzing specifications and deciding on tooling according to knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and machining procedures.

 Moves controls to set feeds, speeds, and depth of cut, and to position tool and work piece in relation to each other, verifying position visually.

 Perform machining operations, such as milling, drilling, boring, and reaming metal work pieces (Fabricated/Casting/Forging).

 Uses of measuring instruments steel rule, measuring tap, caliper, vernier caliper, micro meter, bore dial, dial indicator, gauges etc.

 Maintaining quality and safety standards.

 Keeping records.
