The responsibilities include :
To instil the love and joy of Reading at all levels.
To collaborate with homeroom and the specialist teachers to ensure appropriate library resources are available to support teaching and learning.
To curate and conduct library activities with the objective of enhancing the language skills, exposure to literary works and develop critical thinking.
To empower the students to become skilful and ethical researchers.
To create an active and participative environment in the library.
To arrange for guest authors, story tellers, book review sessions.
To develop a personalised reading plan for children as per their level.
To work with children who need extra support in reading.
To educate the children on the Library protocols
To remain current with the library practices, literary works and educational resources in the market.
To maintain a good knowledge and understanding of current and classic fiction and non-fiction materials.
To participate in the community activities for enhancing and sharing best practices.
Desired Candidate Profile:
We require Female candidates only
Master of Library and Information Science with 3-5 yrs (or) Bachelor of Library and Information Science with 5-8 yrs
Working experience in Educational Institutions.
Preference would be given to candidates who worked for an International School.
Should have excellent communication skills in english speaking
The location of the work place is at Kelambakkam, Chennai
