Job Description: Senior Lawyer (Construction Industry)
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lawyer specializing in the construction industry to join our legal team. The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant legal experience, with a strong background in handling legal aspects related to real estate regulations, including RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) and MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority). Additionally, proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal agreements and a solid understanding of Judicial Dispute Resolution (JDR) techniques are essential for this role. Responsibilities:
Provide expert legal advice and strategic counsel to the construction company on various legal matters, with a focus on RERA and MHADA regulations.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements and contracts, including construction contracts, lease agreements, and vendor agreements.
Conduct due diligence and legal research to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Manage and oversee litigation and dispute resolution processes, utilizing JDR techniques where applicable.
Represent the company in legal proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution forums.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and executives, to address legal issues and mitigate risks effectively.
Stay updated on developments in real estate laws, regulations, and industry practices to provide proactive legal advice and support.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admitted to the bar in [State/Country].
