As a Lathe Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating lathes to perform various machining operations such as turning, boring, threading, and facing. You will work with a variety of materials including metals, plastics, and composites. Attention to detail, precision, and adherence to safety protocols are crucial in this role. You will also be expected to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate machining operations required. The ability to troubleshoot and make adjustments to the machinery to ensure optimal performance is essential. Additionally, you will be responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of the lathe machines to ensure their longevity and efficiency. Collaboration with other team members, including engineers and quality control inspectors, will be necessary to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications.
