1. Prepare samples for testing using various laboratory equipment

2. Maintain all laboratory records

3. Comply with the correct procedures, policies, and health and safety regulations

4. Conduct laboratory tests, analyse results, and document the findings.

5. Collect and prepare research and information needed for studies.

6. Classify and label samples

7. Perform laboratory tests including pre- and post-analytic phases.

8. Produce accurate and reliable data and interpret results

9. Follow methodologies in carrying routine tasks

10. Research relevant topics and gather information/data

11. Keep abreast of all industry developments and best practices

12. Document all activities, record results and insert/retrieve data

13. Maintain work area and equipment

14. Provide administrative assistance
