Position: Kids' Salon Hair Stylist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative and experienced Hair Stylist to join our team at our kids' salon. As a Hair Stylist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality hair services to our young customers, ensuring a positive and memorable experience for them and their parents.
Responsibilities:
Welcome clients warmly and provide a fun, friendly, and professional environment for children
Consult with parents and children to determine their hair care needs and recommend the appropriate services
Cut, trim, and style hair using various techniques and tools, while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
Perform hair treatments, such as shampooing, conditioning, and styling
Keep the salon clean and organized, including sanitizing tools and workstations
Educate clients and parents on how to maintain healthy hair and recommend hair care products
Manage appointments, maintain accurate records, and handle payment transactions
Continuously update your knowledge and skills in the hair styling industry
Work collaboratively with other salon team members to provide exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Good to have a Certification in hair styling or cosmetology from a recognized institution (not mandate)
Proven experience as a Hair Stylist, preferably in a kids' salon environment
Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially with children and their parents
Up-to-date knowledge of hair care trends, techniques, and products
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Flexibility to work on weekends and holidays as needed
