Key responsibilities:

1. Work on using HTML to achieve graphical and functional effects on web pages

2. Work on using JavaScript to make web pages interactive

3. Work on using open-source programming languages, such as PHP, ASP, Java or C++

4. Work on accessing databases with MySQL to manage online content

5. Work efficiently alongside web designers, UI developers and other team members

6. Work on promoting good communication between the front- and back-end web design process to avoid any costly delays and achieve digital business goals

7. Work on seeing the website development process from end-to-end to ensure a quality, functional final product

8. Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using the best software development practices

9. Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices

10. Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

11. Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs

12. Create and maintain software documentation

13. Work on maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site

14. Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

15. Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
