Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Indian accounting standards.
Consolidate financial data and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports.
Analyze financial statements and provide insights to management for decision-making.
Tax Compliance:
Manage and ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, and other tax returns.
Coordinate with tax authorities and assist in tax audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for deviations.
Recommend cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
Review vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.
Follow up with customers for overdue payments and resolve billing issues.
Audit Support:
Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.
Implement audit recommendations and improve internal controls.
Compliance and Regulatory Reporting:
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and regulatory filings.
Maintain records and documentation as per legal and regulatory standards.
Liaise with regulatory authorities as necessary.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead and mentor junior accounting staff.
Conduct training sessions to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment within the accounting team.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Proficient in Indian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
