JAVA

Proficient in core Java, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems

Solid understanding of object-oriented programming

Strong knowledge of J2EE - JSP, Servlet, Socket Programming, Files, Threads, Exception Handling, etc

Familiarity with Java GUI frameworks - such as Swing, SWT, and AWT

Good understanding of XML, JSON, RESTful Web Services

Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git

Skill for writing reusable Java libraries and Knack for writing clean, readable Java code with documentation

Experience with both external and embedded databases

Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

JavaScript

Strong understanding of object oriented JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds

Good understanding of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as AngularJS, KnockoutJS, BackboneJS, ReactJS, DurandalJS etc

Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX

Good understanding of browser rendering behaviour and performance

Basic understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3

Linux

Experience with Linux servers, preferably in virtualized environments

Moderate knowledge on putty and ssh

Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting language

Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Tomcat, Bind, Apache, MySQL, nginx, etc

Additional Requirements

Basic knowledge on Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP

Familiarity with AWS or other cloud environment such as Google Cloud or AZURE
