Job Description
The position of “Department head – (Sourcing Interior and exterior Plastics)” will be responsible for completing all parts sourcing, component development, and supply chain management for plastic interior and exterior plastics parts of electric vehicles
Duties and Responsibilities
? Part / Component development of Trims/plastic commodity (Interiors and exteriors) of cars.
? Supplier/vendor management for all domestic and international purchases of the plastic commodity.
? Understanding of component development and sourcing function in the automotive function. Well versed with the process and design improvements
? Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy of plastic parts. Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and system processes (PPAP, APQP)
? Collaboration with the R&D team for new product development
? Skilled in negotiations skills and should be focused on value engineering while product development
? Know-how of material handling, packing, and freight cost management
? Visit and assess vendors during product development, QC, and process audit.
? Negotiating contracts to get the desired pricing, analyzing multiple vendors to decide which to use for a particular product/ component
? Focus on relevant vendor identification and component development and cost optimization
? Develop long term sourcing strategies with internal stakeholders
