Job Description

A highly experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join our company. You will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate insurance coverage breakdowns and identifying potential denials for our customers patient base, which primarily consists of PPO insurance plans. Your expertise in handling insurance verifications, specifically in a dental setting, will be instrumental in providing exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive insurance verifications for all new patients, providing a detailed breakdown of coverage and benefits.

Perform partial insurance breakdowns for existing patients, highlighting potential denials such as missing tooth clauses, waiting periods, maxed-out orthodontic benefits, and patient history implications.

Utilize your experience with open dental software to efficiently navigate and extract relevant information for insurance verification purposes.

Collaborate with our front office team to ensure accurate documentation of insurance details in patient records.

Stay up to date with changes in insurance policies and communicate any pertinent updates to our team.

Handle last-minute insurance verifications for emergency patients, ensuring immediate attention to their insurance coverage.

Requirements:

Proven experience working as an Insurance Verification Specialist in a high patient volume dental practice.

Extensive knowledge and understanding of PPO insurance plans and their coverage nuances.

Proficiency in providing detailed insurance breakdowns and identifying potential denials in a dental setting.

Experience using open dental software to efficiently navigate patient records and extract insurance information.

Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot critical factors that may affect insurance coverage.

Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with patients, insurance companies, and internal staff.

Ability to work under pressure during emergency situations
