Job Description – Role & Responsibility

• Role Clarity: Clearly define the responsibilities, including promoting products by meeting healthcare professionals, making products available in Institutes and achieving sales targets.

• Qualifications: Specify required qualifications such as a degree in pharmacy or Science, prior sales experience (Min. 1 Year) in the reputed pharmaceutical Company

• Skills: List essential skills like communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.

• Expectations: Outline expectations for travel, working hours, and performance metrics.

Selection Process

• Initial Screening: Review resumes and conduct initial phone or video interviews to assess basic qualifications and interest.

• In-person Interviews: Invite shortlisted candidates for face-to-face interviews to evaluate their communication skills, product knowledge, and sales acumen.

• Role-play Exercises: Simulate sales scenarios to gauge how candidates interact with potential clients and handle objections.

• Reference Checks: Verify candidates’ work history and performance through references from previous employers or educational institutions.

Assessment Criteria

• Sales Aptitude: Assess candidates’ ability to meet sales targets and influence decision-makers.

• Product Knowledge: Evaluate their understanding of pharmaceutical products, medical terminology & MOAs

• Interpersonal Skills: Look for candidates who can build rapport with healthcare professionals and effectively communicate product benefits.

• Market Knowledge: Topographical Knowledge of the applied Institutes.

Training and Development

• Product Training: Provide comprehensive training on the company’s products, including their uses, benefits, and competitive advantages.

• Sales Techniques: Offer coaching on effective sales techniques, objection handling, and relationship-building strategies specific to healthcare environments.
