MALASIYA Restaurant is seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Cuisine Cook to join our culinary team. As an Indian Cuisine Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of traditional and contemporary Indian dishes. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will play a pivotal role in delivering an authentic and delightful dining experience to our patrons.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of Indian dishes, including appetizers, main courses, sides, and desserts, while adhering to traditional recipes and flavor profiles.

Skillfully use various cooking techniques such as roasting, grilling, sautéing, frying, and baking to achieve the desired taste and texture.

Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation.

Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and develop new menu items, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.

Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and hygiene standards.

Monitor and regulate the cooking process to achieve consistent and high-quality results.

Manage portion control and minimize food wastage to contribute to cost-effective operations.

Stay up-to-date with Indian culinary trends, techniques, and ingredients to bring innovation to the menu.

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques and presentation.

Handle kitchen equipment and utensils with care, reporting any maintenance needs to the appropriate channels.

Comply with all restaurant policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as an Indian Cuisine Cook or similar role in a reputable restaurant or culinary establishment.

In-depth knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques, with the ability to execute both traditional and modern Indian recipes.

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
