Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Management:
Prepare and review import documentation, including but not limited to invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of all import-related paperwork.
Coordinate with various departments to collect necessary information for documentation.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay updated on import/export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements to ensure compliance.
Work closely with customs officials and brokers to address any compliance issues promptly.
Communication and Coordination:
Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to obtain required documentation.
Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the timely clearance of goods through customs.
Record Keeping:
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all import documentation.
Develop and implement efficient document filing and retrieval systems.
Problem Resolution:
Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to import documentation.
Work proactively to prevent delays in customs clearance or shipment.
Qualifications:
Any Graduate
Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in import documentation and customs clearance procedures.
Strong knowledge of import/export regulations and trade compliance.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy are critical.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using Excel
