Intensive Care Nurses (ICU) provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the

application of scientific nursing principles.

 In addition to general nursing care, responsibilities of Intensive Care Nurses include (but are not limited

to):

 Punctual and dependent for assigned/confirmed shifts.

 Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate

format and on the appropriate forms.

 Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient’s medical condition.

 Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.

 Monitor doses & patient recovery & care.
