GNMC is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Technical Trainer opening. As a Technical Trainer you will be providing product and technical training support to internal and external students. Responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through training and providing satisfactory customer technical support. Requirements:
• The academy trainer must be able to work in multiple roles: as the trainer, the operations coordinator, and the ambassador for GNMC and the academy.
• Trainer position requires acceptable knowledge and expertise in a related area and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Ability to articulate problems and solutions concisely to all levels of customers: laborer, contractor, distributer, engineers and architects.
• Completion of degree at a trade school (electrical, plumbing or HVAC) or equivalent in real time preferred.
• Ability to change roles quickly, from lecture to individual instruction
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Strong presentation/public speaking skills and strong customer service skills.
• Willingness and ability to speak with groups as large as 100+
• Sales experience and the ability to sell the product is an absolute requirement.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Outlook.
• Can work well under general and limited supervision.
• Experience and competence in using hand tools and test equipment relevant to the product and water heater/boiler industry.
• HVAC degree or certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field, preferred
• HVAC experience required
• Experience with HVAC installation, commissioning, service and maintenance
• Experience facilitating product and technical training
