Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process payroll for factory workers and office employees on a timely basis.
- Calculate wages, salaries, deductions, and overtime accurately.
- Verify attendance, hours worked, and other relevant data to ensure accurate payroll processing.
- Coordinate with department managers to address any discrepancies or issues related to payroll.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or electronic transfers to employees.
- Handle inquiries and requests from employees regarding payroll matters.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends related to payroll processing.
- Assist in the development and implementation of payroll policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Previous experience in payroll processing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems and software .
- Familiarity with labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in payroll.
- Experience with unionized workforce payroll.
- Familiarity with timekeeping systems and attendance tracking software.
