Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading and managing the housekeeping team, ensuring that all areas are cleaned and maintained according to the facility's standards. The role requires excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills to ensure that all housekeeping duties are performed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of Housekeeping Staff:
Supervise, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, ensuring they follow cleanliness and safety protocols.
Assign specific duties to the housekeeping team, ensuring work is completed efficiently and on schedule.
Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any issues related to performance or behavior.
Cleaning and Maintenance:
Oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, public spaces, and other assigned areas.
Ensure that all areas are stocked with necessary supplies (., cleaning products, linens, towels, etc.).
Perform routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and the proper functioning of all equipment and facilities.
Inventory Management:
Manage inventory of housekeeping supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and placing orders when necessary.
Track and manage linen and other cleaning inventories, ensuring proper usage and minimizing waste.
Quality Control and Standards:
Inspect rooms and public areas regularly to ensure that cleanliness standards are being met.
Ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards, including ensuring that all cleaning chemicals and equipment are used properly and safely.
Guest Interaction:
Address guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
Coordinate with other departments (., front desk, maintenance) to resolve any guest issues.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain accurate records of staff schedules, time off, and attendance.
Assist with payroll and other administrative tasks related to housekeeping.
