The Manager, Engineering is responsible for managing and the performance and results of the pod consisting of members across the Engineering organization. They are responsible for setting goals and objectives, OKRs and monitoring them monthly to ensure outcomes are being met.
Deliverables and Performance Measures:
o Provides leadership to the pod and builds and leads a culture of accountability to meet business objectives and goals.
o Helps resolve issues, risks and barriers to development and testing within and across pods managing code conflicts, code merges, release readiness, test coverage and metrics working closely with the Product Owner.
o Helps prioritize backlogs and grooming, priorities and dependencies within and across teams, mentorship to understand the requirements and meeting the stated objectives.
o Provides end-to-end governance of the pod.
o Manages stakeholder relationships across the interacting entities with the pod.
o Ensures the team delivers software within the accepted quality standards by facilitating a working definition of done (DoD) for Agile stories within the team.
What will make you successful:
o Strong Engineering Background.
o 5-7 years experience leading teams.
o Deep knowledge of Agile Scrum SDLC Strong verbal and written communication skills.
o Ability to drive third party relationships when required.
o Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
o Human relation skills or combined skills in understanding, developing and/or motivating people.
