Hardware & Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Network Design and Implementation:

Design and implement local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other networking systems.

Install and configure networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

Hardware Installation and Maintenance:

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware components such as servers, workstations, and peripherals.

Conduct routine hardware maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Troubleshooting:

Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues in a timely manner.

Work with end-users to identify and troubleshoot hardware and network-related problems.

Security:

Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's computer systems and data.

Monitor network security and respond to security incidents.

Documentation:

Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of network and hardware configurations.

Keep inventory records of hardware and network equipment.

Collaboration:

Collaborate with other IT professionals, including system administrators, software developers, and support staff, to ensure seamless integration of hardware and network systems.

Upgrades and Enhancements:

Plan and execute hardware and network upgrades to meet evolving business requirements.

Stay current with industry trends and technologies to recommend improvements and enhancements.

Performance Monitoring:

Monitor network performance and optimize configurations to ensure efficient data transmission.

Implement performance tuning measures for hardware components.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Hardware and Network Engineer or a similar role.

In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, hardware components, and operating systems.

Familiarity with security protocols and measures.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
