Group Reporting and Consolidation Manager

The position is responsible to assist the General Manager: Group Finance and is a Finance Business Partner, with a particular focus on the application of sound financial decision making and reporting, with the aim of accounting for all business activities, safeguarding all assets and improving return on investment and profitability in the business. This role performs monthly and year-end Group consolidation. Prepares Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Responsible for maintaining and consolidating the financial reports/results within the Group

Reporting to:

CFO- Operationally

GM-Finance –Functionally

Critical experience

5 years’ work experience at a senior level plus 5+ years’ of relevant experience with General Ledger, consolidation and intercompany transactions, Group reporting and financial statements

Excellent working knowledge of Sage Evolution and Microsoft Excel and related financial reporting packages

Strong working knowledge of IFRS required

Strong hands-on General ledger transactions and consolidation experience large enterprise accounting system.

Requires excellent financial reporting skills at a high level of expertise

Previous experience in an international corporate environment is an added advantage

Strong working knowledge of multi-currency transactions and related impacts on the financial statements

Ability to multitask and work effectively both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established standards

Minimum Education:

CA /CPA, preferably articles in Big 4.

Technical competencies/ Professional expertise:

Financial Accountability: Follows financial reporting guidelines, regulations, principles, and standards.

Develop Systems and Processes: Identifies and implements effective processes and procedures for accomplishing goals

Business Alignment: Aligns the direction, products, services, and performance of a business line with the rest of the
