Job Description

Airport staff, also known as ground staff or ground crew, perform a variety of tasks to ensure the safety and efficiency of airport operations. Their responsibilities include:

Passenger check-in: Greeting passengers, checking tickets and passports, and issuing boarding passes

Baggage handling: Weighing baggage, checking for excess weight, and issuing luggage labels

Customer service: Answering passenger questions, providing flight information, and assisting with special needs passengers

Boarding procedures: Assisting passengers with boarding, directing passengers to departure gates, and checking boarding passes at the gate

Aircraft maintenance: Stocking aircraft with refreshments and cleaning aircraft after flights

Safety and security: Ensuring safety protocols are followed, directing passengers through security, and asking security questions

Coordination: Working with other airport departments, such as security and maintenance
