Ground staff at an airport or airline have many responsibilities, including:

Passenger services: Assisting passengers, answering questions, and providing directions

Baggage handling: Ensuring baggage is tagged correctly, loaded onto the aircraft on time, and unloaded from the aircraft

Check-in: Verifying tickets, assigning seats, and issuing boarding passes

Security: Ensuring compliance with security regulations, conducting security checks, and responding to emergencies

Gate operations: Coordinating boarding procedures, managing gate activities, and verifying passenger documentation

Aircraft services: Liaising with ground service providers to coordinate catering, fueling, and cleaning

Flight operations: Planning, monitoring, and controlling airline flight operations

Ticket sales: Selling tickets at the airport kiosk

Lounge services: Ensuring excellent airport lounge services for passengers

Special needs: Assisting passengers with special needs and disabilities

Meal services: Stocking meals, water, and refreshments in the aircraft before each departure

Ground staff work in shifts and play an important role in daily airport operations.
