Ground handling staff, also known as ground crew, work at airports to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers. Their responsibilities include:

Passenger assistance: Helping passengers check in, make reservations, rebook flights, and check in baggage

Passenger guidance: Escorting passengers to the boarding gate, pushing wheelchairs, and providing directions

Baggage handling: Loading and unloading bags and luggage, tagging them, and processing them

Aircraft preparation: Helping prepare the aircraft cabin for departure, including stocking meals, water, and refreshments

Flight operations: Coordinating the servicing of arriving and departing aircraft, and indicating taxi spots to pilots

Customer service: Answering questions, providing information, and helping passengers with inquiries about delayed or lost baggage

Security: Ensuring the safety and security of passengers at the airport

Compliance: Complying with regulatory requirements

Ground handling staff work in shifts and play an important role in the daily operations of the airport. They should have excellent communication skills and a good command of the English language.
