We are seeking a skilled GPS Installation and Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of GPS tracking systems in vehicles. The role involves working closely with clients to ensure the proper installation and functionality of GPS devices, as well as providing ongoing technical support and assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
GPS Installation: Install GPS tracking devices in vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines and client specifications.
Vehicle Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of vehicles to determine the best placement for GPS devices, considering factors such as accessibility, security, and signal reception.
Wiring and Integration: Proficiently wire GPS devices into vehicle systems, ensuring proper integration with existing electrical components.
Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks on installed GPS systems to ensure functionality, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to GPS devices, including but not limited to connectivity problems, signal interference, and hardware malfunctions.
Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to explain installation procedures, provide technical assistance, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and client interactions for reference and billing purposes.
Testing and Calibration: Conduct testing and calibration of GPS devices to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
Software Updates: Stay updated on the latest software releases and firmware updates for GPS devices, and perform necessary updates to maintain system functionality.
Training: Provide training and guidance to clients on the proper use and maintenance of GPS systems installed in their vehicles.
