We are seeking a skilled and motivated GIS Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining GIS Data that support various projects across the organization. The GIS Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze spatial data and provide actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- GIS Data Management:
- Collect, analyze, and manage spatial data from various sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, quality control, and compliance with standards.
- Mapping and Visualization:
- Create high-quality maps and visualizations to support project needs.
- Develop interactive web maps and dashboards for stakeholder engagement.
- System Development and Maintenance:
- Design and implement GIS applications and tools using appropriate technologies (., ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Maintain and update GIS databases and systems.
- Spatial Analysis:
- Conduct spatial analyses to identify trends, patterns, and relationships in data.
- Provide technical support for modeling and simulations related to geographic data.
- Collaboration:
- Work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate GIS solutions into ongoing projects.
- Provide training and support to team members on GIS tools and methodologies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Maintain records of GIS projects and activities.
