Responsibilities: -

• Understanding of open-source projects, fully synchronous behaviour of PHP and MVC design patterns

• Understanding accessibility and security compliance

• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application

• User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments

• Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system

• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

• Involvement in the open-source community is a plus

• Have to resolve issues in web design & development and accessibility is a plus

Required Skills & Qualifications: -

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3

• Knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming or web server exploits and their solutions

• Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, etc)

• Familiarity with relational databases and their declarative query languages

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tool

• Basic knowledge of AWS

• Strong experience with custom WordPress theme development, including accommodating full user editability, complex layouts, and plugins that require theme customization we don’t work with prebuilt themes so it is important to have the ability to create complex setups from scratch

• Experience creating custom themes for use with WooCommerce

• Familiarity with various commonplace and proven plugins such as: Advanced Custom Fields, Gravity Forms, The Events Calendar, s2Member, Buddy Press

• Thorough understanding of custom post types and taxonomies

• Working knowledge of MySQL

• Familiarity with using command line tools on Linux servers and using git for source control is a plus

• Excellent knowledge of HTML5/XHTML, XML, AJAX, JavaScript/jQuery, CSS3

• Excellent knowledge of WooCommerce and WordPress

• Strong understanding and experience with SASS
