Senior Full Stack Developer ( / Java)

We are looking for a full-time Senior Full Stack Developer with 2+ years of and Java software development experience to join the software engineering team. The candidate will develop new application features and maintain existing ones. This position requires experience in making decisions and working both independently and as part of a small, dynamic team where everything the candidate does makes a difference.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate requirements, schedules, and activities; contribute to team meetings; and troubleshoot development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms

• Support and develop other developers providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities

• Define web architectures and solutions from business requirements, produce estimates and timeline, and manage delivery against those plans

• Work with others to ensure adherence to code standards and best practices

• Produce reusable, testable, and efficient code

• Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications

• Implement secure by design standards including data protection

• Integrate data storage solutions

• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness

• Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features

• Identify and correct bottlenecks as well as fix bugs

Required Experience

• 2+ years of software development experience in Java EE using RESTful web services

• 1+ years of front-end development using

• Exposure to Java frameworks

• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX

• Experience with web and application servers, such as Apache, Tomcat, GlassFish, or JBoss

• Strong understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL and SQL queries

• Demonstrated ability to work in both a team environment as well as individually

• Strong background with testing strategies—both manual and automated
