Financial Accountant - Global Finance

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant Group Finance to join our Global Finance team. Based in India and supporting all Head Office entities (Australia, UK, Europe, and Asia) through performing operational activities, this role is an excellent opportunity for a person with financial accounting background.

Responsibilities:

Operational accounting activities [70%]

- Perform operational activities to support the Head Office, spanning: Australia, UK, Europe, and Asia, which includes accounts payable, intercompany transactions, expense management, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations and other related activities.

- Prepare financial models to calculate and post general ledger transaction

- Manage accurate and timely processing of day-to-day financial transactions

- Manage aspects from transactions -> reporting -> attestations for assigned Head Office entities

- Perform monthly reconciliation of ledgers and sub-ledgers

- Prepare Balance Sheet and P&L variance analysis reports and explanations for assigned entities

Individual Entity Reporting and Audit Completion [20%]

- Respond to inquiries and provide analysis of financial information as required

- Prepare regulatory returns for assigned entities (financial statements and tax related returns)

- Manage the external audit of allocated head office entities (by external auditors)

Consolidation and Control [10%]

- Perform group consolidation including performance of monthly consolidation controls including FX translation, intercompany matching

- Interact constantly with Global finance teams to understand financial accounting performed in each location

- Review Pepper Group results

Skills and experience required:

- Accounting degree plus completion of accounting qualification (CPA/CA)

- Experience preparing Financial Statements (under IFRS)

- 3+ years financial accounting experience, ideally with 2+ years in industry

- Strong MS Excel skill

- Fluent English Speaking & Writing Skills
