HOD Finance

The HOD of Department of Finance at ISBR is looking for a highly qualified and experienced finance professor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in finance or a related field, as well as experience teaching finance courses at the university level. He or she will be expected to teach a variety of finance courses, including corporate finance, investments, and financial markets. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the department’s research initiatives and participate in departmental governance.

A finance HOD has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:

• Conducting research in their area of expertise and publishing peer reviewed articles in academic journals

• Participating in academic activities such as conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposiums to share research findings with peers and colleagues

• Developing curriculum, teaching courses, and providing academic counseling to students

• Preparing lectures and course materials such as syllabi, lecture notes, and reading lists

• Teaching undergraduate or graduate level classes in areas such as investments, financial markets, corporate finance, risk management, accounting, and taxation

• Advising students on academic issues such as choosing a major or applying to graduate school

• Conducting research focused on topics such as investment strategies, risk management, tax laws, or financial planning techniques

• Reviewing student papers for grammatical errors, plagiarism, and other mistakes before they are graded by professors

• Develop and revise course curriculum, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with program goals

• Foster a positive learning environment that engages students and promotes active participation

• Advise and mentor students on academic and professional matters

• Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to support their growth and development

• Serve on departmental, college, and university committees
