We are looking for a collections officer to assist with the collection of outstanding debts. The collections officer will contact clients and inform them of their debts, negotiate payment plans, and ensure payments are made as soon as possible. You may also be required to institute legal action when payments are not made.
To ensure success as a collections officer, you should have excellent communication, negotiation, and mathematical skills, as well as attention to detail. A skilled Collections Officer should be able to reduce company losses by encouraging customers to pay their overdue bills.
The roles and responsibility of a Field Officer is furnished hereunder.
· FO Reports to the Branch Manager.
· Formation of JLGs/Centers. Minimum of 5 centers with minimum 50 active clients should be sourced every month with center strength of 10 to 20 members.
· Collecting KYC documents for Credit Checking.
· Conducting Client Point Verification (CPV) and prepare the loan application for all the clients.
· Conducting two days Continuous Group Training (CGT) for centers.
· Conduct Centre meetings in the morning to collect the loan installments as per the time table / slot during the day in the morning and deposit the collected money in VML Branch before 2 PM.
· Group Formation, conducting CPV, conducting CGT, etc in the afternoon.
· FO's performance is measured in terms of number of Active Customers, Outstanding Loan Portfolio and Financial Inclusion through Opening Bank Accounts for borrowers and Compliance Adherence.
· Prompt recovery will scale up the performance.
· Any other work allotted by the BM then and there.
