As a Tele Counsellor ,your primary responsibilities will involve providing guidance and support to students through remote communication channels such as phone, email, chat or video calls.
Some of the key duties you may be expected to perform include:
1) Conducting intake interviews with students to identify their needs and concerns
2) Providing information about the institution's programs, services, and resources available to students
3) Offering guidance and advice to students on academic, personal, and career-related issues
4) Referring students to appropriate resources or support services as needed
5) Maintaining accurate and confidential records of student interactions and progress
6) Responding to student inquiries promptly and professionally
7) Participating in training and development programs to enhance counselling skills and knowledge
8) Collaborating with other departments and staff members to ensure that student needs are being met effectively
To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills, the ability to empathize and connect with students from diverse backgrounds, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have a good understanding of the institution's policies, programs, and services, as well as the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. A background in counselling or related fields, as well as experience in tele-counselling, will be an added advantage.
