Assist with planting, transplanting, and cultivating crops according to seasonal schedules and farm practices.
Operate farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems, safely and efficiently.
Monitor crops for signs of pests, diseases, or other issues and report findings to the Farm Manager.
Participate in harvesting activities, including picking, sorting, and packing produce for market or storage.
Maintain and repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures as needed.
Assist with the care and feeding of livestock, including feeding, watering, and cleaning animal pens or enclosures.
Help with the loading and unloading of agricultural products, supplies, and equipment as required.
Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) when operating machinery or handling chemicals.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas, including equipment storage and maintenance areas.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the farm.
Requirements:
Previous experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred but not required.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
Ability to operate farm machinery and equipment safely and effectively, with training provided as needed.
Basic knowledge of crop cultivation practices and/or livestock care is an asset.
Strong work ethic and reliability, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and procedures as required.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the farm is preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors.
Commitment to safety and adherence to farm policies and procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent is desirable but not mandatory.
