Job Summary:
The Factory Medical Officer (FMO) is responsible for overseeing the medical needs of employees within the factory premises. This includes providing medical assistance, conducting health assessments, promoting wellness programs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Care Provision:
Provide medical care and treatment to factory employees for illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
Conduct regular health check-ups and assessments for employees.
Administer first aid as needed and refer serious cases to appropriate medical facilities.
Health Promotion:
Develop and implement health promotion programs to improve employee well-being and prevent illnesses.
Conduct health education sessions on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention.
Encourage healthy lifestyle choices among employees.
Occupational Health and Safety:
Collaborate with the management team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend measures to mitigate workplace hazards.
Investigate workplace accidents and provide medical support as necessary.
Medical Records Management:
Maintain accurate medical records for all employees, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant laws.
Keep track of employee health trends and use data to inform health promotion strategies.
Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and implement emergency response plans for medical emergencies within the factory premises.
Train employees on emergency procedures and coordinate with external medical services when needed.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Safety, to promote a holistic approach to employee well-being.
Communicate regularly with employees to address their health concerns and provide guidance on medical issues.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree with AFIH from a recognized medical institution
