Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Repairs: Ensure regular maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the facility's physical infrastructure, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and building structures.

Safety & Compliance: Monitor and enforce health and safety standards and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes (., fire safety, environmental laws).

Space Management: Plan and manage the allocation and effective use of office space, furniture, and equipment to optimize space utilization.

Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external vendors for services like cleaning, security, maintenance, and landscaping.

Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop and manage the facilities budget, ensuring that maintenance and operational costs are within allocated resources.

Emergency Preparedness: Develop, maintain, and update contingency plans, emergency response procedures, and evacuation plans. Oversee disaster recovery planning.

Environmental Sustainability: Implement energy-saving strategies, waste management, and sustainability practices to reduce the facility's environmental footprint.

Security Management: Ensure proper functioning of security systems (., alarms, access control) and coordinate with security personnel to ensure the facility is secure.

Staff Supervision: Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and other facility-related personnel.

Operational Efficiency: Continuously review systems and processes to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize facility performance.

Project Management: Plan and oversee facility improvement projects, renovations, and construction when necessary.

Inventory Control: Maintain an inventory of equipment, tools, and materials and ensure timely procurement of supplies required for facility operations.
