The Fabrication Manager oversees and manages all activities related to the fabrication process, ensuring high-quality production, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards. With 8 years of experience, the Fabrication Manager is expected to lead a team, streamline processes, and collaborate closely with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

Supervise, train, and develop a team of fabrication technicians and operators.

Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Production Planning & Management:

Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet deadlines.

Ensure resource availability, including labor, materials, and equipment, to avoid production delays.

Quality Control:

Implement and monitor quality control standards for fabrication processes.

Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure fabricated products meet design specifications and standards.

Coordinate with quality assurance teams to address any defects or discrepancies.

Process Optimization:

Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and optimize production workflows.

Stay updated on the latest fabrication techniques, tools, and technologies, introducing relevant innovations to the team.

Safety Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards, ensuring a safe work environment.

Conduct regular safety training and drills to maintain a high standard of workplace safety.

Collaboration:

Work closely with design, engineering, and project management teams to understand project specifications, resolve technical issues, and ensure feasibility of designs.

Liaise with procurement to manage material inventory and anticipate supply needs.

Reporting & Documentation:

Maintain detailed records of production metrics, including output, downtime, and inventory levels.
