Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Technical Assistant to support our Managing Director. This role offers a fantastic learning opportunity for a mechanical engineer with 5-8 years of experience, particularly those with a background in the power, steel, or coal industries. The ideal candidate will be multi-tasking, fast-paced, proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, internet savvy, and open to traveling to plant sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

Assist the MD in day-to-day operations, decision-making, and strategic planning.

Conduct technical analysis and provide insights on sponge iron and steel-making processes.

Coordinate with various departments, including commercial, production, and others, to ensure smooth operations.

Prepare reports, presentations, and other documentation as required by the MD.

Travel to plant sites (Jharsuguda and Jamshedpur) to oversee and support operational activities.

Aid in the implementation of smart meters and other technological advancements.

Support the MD in planning and executing projects related to the setup of new units and acquisition of sick units.

Stay updated with industry trends and innovations to provide valuable inputs to the MD.

Qualifications:

Bachelor��s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

5-8 years of experience in the core industry (power, steel, coal, etc.) in commercial, production, or other relevant departments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and internet applications.

Excellent multitasking and time management skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel to various plant sites as required.

Preferably residing in Gurgaon or nearby areas.
