Job Purpose:
As a STEAM Instructor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing custom solutions and automating processes using advanced functionalities of spreadsheet software. This role will work closely with the project management team, data analysts, and educators to design and implement spreadsheet solutions that streamline workflows and analyze data effectively.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Develop custom Excel and Google Sheets solutions to automate processes, improve workflows, and analyze data effectively.
2. Design and implement complex formulas, macros, and scripts in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to enhance spreadsheet functionality and automate repetitive tasks.
3. Create custom functions and scripts using programming languages like VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), JavaScript, or Google Apps Script to extend spreadsheet capabilities.
4. Collaborate with the project management team and data analysts to understand program requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
5. Analyze and manipulate data within spreadsheets using advanced data processing techniques, such as data cleaning, filtering, and pivot tables.
6. Develop interactive dashboards and reports in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets to visualize and present data in a meaningful way for educators, students, and stakeholders.
7. Perform data analysis and modeling using Microsoft Excel's advanced features, such as Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI, to support decision-making processes and identify insights within large datasets.
8. Troubleshoot and debug spreadsheet solutions, resolving issues and ensuring accurate and reliable calculations and processes in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
9. Stay updated on the latest Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets features, functions, and best practices to leverage new functionalities and improve efficiency.
