Electrical Site Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Site Engineer (Electrical) to oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems for solar power projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, solar PV systems, and site management, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Commissioning:

oOversee the installation of electrical components for solar PV systems, including inverters, transformers, and wiring.

oEnsure all installations comply with electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.

oCommission and test electrical systems to verify performance and safety.

Site Management:

oSupervise site activities and manage on-site teams, including electricians and subcontractors.

oEnsure adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

oCoordinate with other site engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project execution.

Technical Support:

oProvide technical guidance and support to installation teams.

oTroubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during construction and operation phases.

oConduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems.

Documentation and Reporting:

oMaintain accurate records of electrical installations, tests, and inspections.

oPrepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to project management.

oEnsure all documentation is up-to-date and complies with regulatory requirements.

Health and Safety:

oImplement and enforce health and safety protocols on-site.

oConduct safety training and briefings for site personnel.

oInvestigate and report any safety incidents or near misses.

Qualifications

Education:

oBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

oProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
