Job Description: Site Engineer - Electrical (33/11 kV Substation)

Position Overview

The Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction, installation, testing, and commissioning of 33/11 kV substations, ensuring that all project activities meet technical standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. This role involves coordination with various stakeholders and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution:

Supervise the construction, installation, and commissioning of 33/11 kV substations.

Ensure all electrical works adhere to project designs, specifications, and quality standards.

Monitor progress and report any deviations or delays.

Technical Supervision:

Conduct inspections and tests on electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, control panels, and cables.

Identify and troubleshoot technical issues during installation and commissioning.

Verify design documents, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and as-built drawings.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols on-site.

Coordinate with teams to ensure compliance with local electrical codes, standards, and MSEDCL or equivalent authority guidelines.

Coordination:

Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Assist in resource planning, including manpower, equipment, and materials.

Participate in site meetings to address challenges and track progress.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain detailed records of work progress, quality inspections, and test results.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

Submit reports and certifications for project milestones and completion.

Education & Qualifications

Education: Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Experience: 35 years of experience in electrical project
