About the Role:
Lead a team of electrical engineers in the design, installation, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems for biogas plants.
Ensure the team's work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers, fostering their professional growth and development.
Delegate tasks effectively and motivate the team to achieve common goals.
Oversee electrical projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including plant operators, maintenance personnel, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Electrical Design & Engineering:
Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for biogas plants, including power distribution systems, motor control centers, instrumentation and control systems, and safety systems.
Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications for all electrical equipment and systems.
Perform electrical load calculations, short circuit studies, and voltage drop analysis.
Select and specify appropriate electrical equipment, such as transformers, switchgears, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and instrumentation.
Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes and standards (., NEC, IEC).
Installation & Commissioning:
Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems, ensuring proper wiring, grounding, and safety measures.
Conduct site inspections and supervise electrical contractors during installation and testing.
Commission and test electrical systems, including power distribution, motor control, and instrumentation systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve any electrical issues during the commissioning phase
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Provide technical support for the operation and maintenance of electrical systems within the biogas plant.
