Duties and Responsibilities 1. Electrical Design Engineers are professionals who have the ability to apply engineering principles, physics and materials science for the analysis, design, installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
2. As the Electrical Design Engineer, you will be required to survey and report on existing electrical installations and identify customer requirements if needed.
3. Electrical Design Engineers create solutions, which can range from small component designs to large-scale systems. More commonly you would be working on security, alarm systems, lighting and HT, HV / LV systems.
4. Provide detailed electrical design details for new and refurbishment projects with proper electrical system which may include Fire alarm system, TV, Parking system, access control, Single line diagram, Load calculation, DB Schedule, periodic site visits, as per requirement.
5. Design work should be carried in to 4 major stages ., concept stage, design stage, detail design stage, BOQ/ Estimation, Construction package.
6. DBR and DPR generation need to prepare by Electrical engineer. Preparing product documentation, writing reports and specifications. This could also include the monitoring of a new product in use to improve on future designs.
7. Maintain the Project summary report to avoid future problem related to project if it generated.
8. Attending and conducting client meetings in order to clearly understand job/owner requirements and expectations. Includes, project review meetings, construction meetings, and project closeout meetings.
9. Design electrical requirements for refrigeration systems, including loadings, infrastructure and systems.
10. Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation.
