Job Title: Education Counsellor

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Education Counsellor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to students, helping them make informed decisions about their education and career paths.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to address students' academic, personal, and social needs.

Assist students in setting attainable goals and developing useful skills or habits.

Administer assessments to gauge students' capabilities, personality traits, and interests.

Evaluate students' competencies, interests, and ambitions to identify suitable academic and professional pathways.

Assist in preparatory activities, such as academic scheduling and course selection.

Inform students about their academic and professional options, including courses, majors, and programs that may facilitate their goals.

Consult with parents, teachers, and administrators to identify potential learning or behavioral issues that may impede students' goals.

Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop plans for realizing students' educational and professional goals.

Inform students and their families about resources that may help with realizing academic and career goals, such as tutoring, mentoring, and career exploration.

Maintain confidential records about the students they assist, including assessment results, transcripts, and session notes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as an education counsellor or in a related role.

Strong knowledge of educational systems and career development theories.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to create engaging and effective counselling plans.

Proficiency in using various counselling tools and technologies.
