Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, international trade laws, and customer requirements. Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all shipping documentation, ensuring proper filing and archiving. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, shipping lines, airlines, and government authorities to obtain and exchange necessary documentation.
Freight Forwarding Support:
*Liaise with freight forwarders, carriers, and agents to coordinate shipping schedules, container bookings, and related logistics activities. Provide accurate shipment information to freight forwarders for efficient cargo routing and tracking. Collaborate with freight forwarders (B2B) to resolve documentation-related issues, shipment delays, and any customs-related challenges.
Customer Service:
*Communicate proactively with clients, providing timely updates on shipment status, documentation requirements, and any potential delays or issues. Assist clients in understanding import and export documentation requirements and provide guidance on customs processes, regulations, and compliance.
Customs Compliance:
*Stay updated on customs regulations, import/export laws, trade agreements, and any changes in documentation requirements. Ensure all import and export shipments comply with customs rules and regulations, including tariff classification, valuation, and country of origin requirements.
*Coordinate with customs brokers to facilitate smooth customs clearance and resolve any documentation-related issues or discrepancies.
Process Improvement:
*Identify opportunities to streamline documentation processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors.
