Dispatch/Logistic Executive
Job Description
• Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
• Establish or monitor specific supply chain based performance measurement system
• Create policies or procedure for logistics activities
• Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements
• Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
• Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs or training or safety records.
• Implement specific customer requirement such as Internal reporting or customised transportation metrics
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, Logistics system, import or export or customer issues.
• Participate in carrier management process such as selection, performance evaluation
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements
• Ensure carrier compliance with company policy or procedure for product transit or delivery
• Direct distribution centre operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy or timeliness objective
• Communicate freight transportation information to costumers or suppliers using transportation management , electronic logistics marketplace or electronic freight information system, to improve efficiency, speedy, quality of transportation service
• Review Global, national or regional transportation or logistic reports for 2 ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities
• Implement or monitor carbon or environmental management, accounting or audit systems
• Conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities
• Develop plan or set goal reduce carbon emissions associated with storage or transport activities as per HSEQ policies and standard.
Education and Experience:
• Should have sound knowledge on wood and metal industry
• Should possess 2 to 3 yrs experience on Dispatch/ Lo
