Job Description
Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency
Establish or monitor specific supply chain based performance measurement system
Create policies or procedure for logistics activities
Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements
Train shipping department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs or training or safety records.
Implement specific customer requirement such as Internal reporting or customised transportation metrics
Resolve problems concerning transportation, Logistics system, import or export or customer issues.
Participate in carrier management process such as selection, performance evaluation
Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements
Ensure carrier compliance with company policy or procedure for product transit or delivery
Direct distribution centre operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy or timeliness objective
Communicate freight transportation information to costumers or suppliers using transportation management , electronic logistics marketplace or electronic freight information system, to improve efficiency, speedy, quality of transportation service
Review Global, national or regional transportation or logistic reports for 2 ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities
Implement or monitor carbon or environmental management, accounting or audit systems
Conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities
Develop plan or set goal reduce carbon emissions associated with storage or transport activities as per HSEQ policies and standard.
Education and Experience:
Should have sound knowledge on wood and metal industry
Should possess 2 to 3 yrs experience on Dispatch/ Lo
