Job Purpose

1 Build a vision for the school (SOG) to define medium and long term academic and research direction and priorities.

2 Provide Leadership to the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff of SOG to be a leading School of Governance

3 Enable environment where students learn, thrive and seek to become leaders and innovators of the society.

Principal Accountabilities:

What are the major responsibilities of this position

1 Oversee Academic Programming :- Prepare Strategic Plan for the Institute incorporating both operational and financial plans.- Continuously evaluate the vision and mission of the Institute and align institutional processes to strategy and mission.

2 Design high-quality curriculum that meets the needs of governance with a global perspective and is comparable to the best in the country. Continuous review of plans and programs to ensure that there are no slippages.

3 Plan the manpower needs and recruit high-calibre faculty on time to ensure effective delivery of teaching, research and consultancy activities

4 Focus on continuous Faculty Development Programs to ensure that faculty members are kept abreast of latest developments in their respective areas of specialization.- Optimum utilization of both physical and human resources that are at the disposal.

5 Continuous interaction with the society at large to understand it's changing needs and incorporate the same in developing the curriculum of various programs

Engagement of Alumni to mutual benefit.

Participate effectively in various activities of the university every time called upon to do so

Compliance with the requirements of the Regulatory Authorities.- Increased engagement with other Institutes/Schools in Uni
