Key Responsibilities:
Die Setup and Maintenance: Set up and install dies, tools, and equipment in machines for production runs. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure dies remain in good working condition.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair faulty dies and equipment, diagnosing mechanical or technical issues and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
Die Design Assistance: Assist with the design, modification, and improvement of dies and tooling to meet production and quality specifications.
Inspection and Testing: Inspect dies and tooling for defects or wear, making adjustments as necessary. Conduct tests on dies to ensure they meet the required performance standards.
Process Optimization: Work with the engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for improving die performance, reducing scrap, and enhancing production efficiency.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of die maintenance, repairs, and modifications. Document all processes, procedures, and changes to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Quality Control Support: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that the dies and tools meet the necessary specifications, ensuring that products meet quality standards.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols when handling dies, tools, and machinery. Ensure the work area is safe, organized, and free of hazards.
Inventory Management: Assist in managing and maintaining an inventory of die tools and components, ensuring parts are available for repairs or replacements when needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A technical certification or training in die making, machining, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Die Shop Technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or machining environment.
