DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities :

1. Collaborating with co-workers to conceptualize, develop, and release software.

2. Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines.

3. Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, as needed.

4. Securing software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.

5. Collecting and reviewing customers' feedback to enhance user experience.

6. Suggesting alterations to workflow in order to improve efficiency and success.

7. Pitching ideas for projects based on gaps in the market and technological advancements.

8. Design and write infrastructure as code and automation scripts that will deploy cloud hosted environments.

9. Constantly adapt, maintain, and support the infrastructure, security, and technologies to provide more stability and improvements to the deployments and reduce cloud costs where applicable.

10. Take a pro-active approach to system monitoring and observation for rapid issue identification and resolution.

11. Contribute to the development of in-house tools that support the DevOps processes.

12. Produce quality and timely documentation.

Requirements :

1. Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.

2. Experience in handling app servers, Jenkins, Autosys, Ansible etc.

3. Experience using an array of automation tools.

4. Familiarity with software security methods.

5. Demonstrated experience using a wide variety of coding languages.

6. Curious, discerning envelope pusher.

7. Top-notch decision-making and collaborative abilities.

8. Customer-oriented with the ability to receive and use constructive criticism. Strong organizational and project management skills.
