The Lead DevSecOps Engineer acts as a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to solve Operational problems by applying engineering practices.
The Lead DevSecOps Engineer (SRE) creates a bridge between development and operations by applying a Software engineering mindset to system administration topics.
This applies to the application development process, infrastructure deployment and operations processes.
The role of SRE is to enable the broader organization to operate using DevSecOps and Automation principles, toil management, proper alerting, and monitoring, NFR practices by providing a combination of platform, process, and culture direction.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Development, maintenance and support of our development pipelines, maintenance, and support of our development pipelines, which support our continuous Integration, Automated Provisioning and Continuous Delivery capabilities across both our cloud and On-Prem Platforms.
Work with stakeholders to define clear project objectives and requirements, agree on priorities, communicate progress updates and demonstrations, resolve issues and conflicts, and provide responsive change management.
Create Jenkins pipeline & shared libraries (Pipeline as Code) using Groovy scripts.
Work on Cloud Engineering solutions using tools like Terraform, Chef (Infrastructure as Code) on AWS environment.
Develop tools and processes to reduce deployment obstacles, improve developer productivity, reduce risk and lead to faster time to market.
Develop subject matter expertise on one or more programming languages, vendor products, DTCC applications, data structures, business lines.
Implements security solutions and executes test plans working with more senior technical staff to validate security requirements.
Develops and maintains system documentation.
Provide ongoing maintenance support for the applications during Post-deployment support phase.
