Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement efforts towards strengthening processes & activities formulated under Project Mesha.
Capacity building of goat rearers by ensuring delivery of key training modules on goat health and management, womens empowerment, community institutions etc. at the village/hamlet level
Promotion and strengthening of goat producer groups and support in the promotion of a farmers producer company
Support to Pashu Sakhis in community mobilisation and their supply chain management
Provide handholding support to the pashu sakhis in the updation of data in the Project Mesha MIS, highlighting any challenges faced for corrective action.
Ensure timely reporting of field activities (training data, project activity data, etc.)
Support in reporting of quarterly/half yearly/annual reports for the project
Ensure documentation and data recording on all project activities
Identification and documentation of best practices.
Ensure timely supply of project material at the field level – this includes the dissemination of communication material developed by Project Mesha to improve knowledge and understanding of improved goat husbandry practices.
Timely submission of expenditure to the cluster office and ensure timely settlement of all bills and vouchers.
Submit a monthly report of activities undertaken, adequately detailing challenges faced and corrective action taken, and also submit a plan for the following month
Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the organization from time to time
Qualifications and Skills Required
Graduate in any discipline with 2 years of multidisciplinary experience in promoting livelihood / community development projects
Strong presentation and information management abilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience of working with smallholder livestock development projects would be an added advantage
